Hello everyone,
Out on the road now and had to change my fuel pump as my gen kept shutting off. Long story short, I had a new replacement with me that also failed. I bought an eldelbrock pump 4-7 psi and the unit now runs fine. When I was testing the edelbrock, I accidently touched the hot wire of the gen fuel pump harness to ground while testing.
I no longer get 12 volts while holding down the prime/off button. I get the 12 volts after starting.
I checked the fuse on the gen's fuel pump wire and it is fine. Fuses and breakers in the battery compartment are fine also. I dont see any fuses on the converter either that are blown
Does anyone know where the 12 volt for the prime feature comes from (the board?). Unit runs fine after cranking after 30 seconds. Hate to wear the starter out.
Primer button definitely worked before accidently touching the hot wire from the unit to ground.
Thanks for any help
