Feet pressed against the bottom of the bed
Steady 100lb(ish) upward pressure applied near the toothed motor rail...no kicking no matter how mad you are.
Get a strong person to do this if you're short and/or delicate.
This will steadily overcome the motor and allow you to get things aligned.
