We are about to leave Texas headed to New York State for a vacation visiting yankee family. We make this trip every two years taking what I call the straightest route - AR, TN, KY, OH, PA, and then destination in NYS. This year we plan to change things up a bit and take a route that leads us from MS into PA near Pittsburg, stopping for the night in Connellsville. From there it looks like there are a few possible roads that can take us toward Wellsville, NY (home town of my youth). Can anyone make a recommendation as to one that might be the better choice for driving a Thor ACE 29.4 (V10 with 6spd) and 4 down towing a Jeep. Seems like 119, 219, 103 are choices; with a couple linking up with 66,6 and with 103 taking us through Coudersport and Gold. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

I made a similar trip in Class A last year, and frankly, the 219 remains my favorite: driving, beautiful landscapes, and few turns too tight for a motorhome. I would avoid the 103 with the Denton Hill coast, especially when towing. Have a nice road trip to Wellsville!

I would stick with the route you know. Every time I try to take a short cut in PA I end up wishing I hadn't. The roads are just so narrow.
