Has anyone had paint chipping I understand the gutter spout thing. Mine is chipping between the door and the slide at the top of the rv. Its both the black and the gold paint. I asked Redwood about it, they were surprised. I asked for touch up paint in an aerosol can and I would do it myself as warranty authorized paint shops arnt on every corner. They told me we don't have any and our paint suppler doesn't do Aerosol cans. "we can get you the paint codes and you can have some made up" Customer service is alive and well in these United States"

Can you post a photo ?? Have not heard of any chipping paint

Realistically, you can't "touch up" with aerosol spray, because it doesn't fill in the chip. The 4 color touch up paint jars that came with our Redwood that have a brush are exactly perfect for touching up chips. I've used it on a few places on the front already.

Came in a pouch with my manuals from the factory. If you didn't buy new its probably long gone, or if it sat on a lot for a while.

Any Dealer should be able to get it. If you don't like the original Dealer, hit another one (Any Dealer that sells a Crossroads product can order from Redwood).

Glad this came up. We didn't receive a paint touch up kit, but now I know to ask my dealer for one. Thanks.

From what I can see, it is chipping off the roof membrane. Could be it was not "prepped" correctly when they painted it ??
Also, did you buy it used ?? Still should be able to get some touch up paint.

I have a 2013 36FB lots of changes from 2013 to 2014 probably wasn't offered in 2013
Oh I doubt touch up paint was a new offering, it typically comes direct from the paint shop. I understands Redwood uses several close to the factory, so maybe they don't all do it, or somebody found a better use for it while it was sitting on the lot.

The Dealer should be able to get you some.

We had it also in the 2014 36FB. We had some paint chips come off one of the access doors. Looks like it was dropped on 3 corners. We were told to bring it in and they would look at it/fix it. I'm skeptical. I have the paint, but do you need a primer over bare metal?

My unit was built March of 2012 and it came with all the touch up paint. We also have the paint numbers so any automotive paint supply store can mix it up for you. My son said he's match the paint and paint the ends of my slide someday.

Haven't dealt with automotive paints, but in marine coatings we used a primer. The type of primer depends on the base metal.

I would lightly sand to remove the hard edges, blow off the dust, give it a wash with fresh water to remove salts, wipe with solvent to remove any oils then apply the primer, followed by top coat(s).

Our coach received a couple of chips during delivery from the factory and our dealer did an amazing job of filling the holes and matching the paint perfectly.

Duke and Coca I would contact Redwood/Crossroads warranty. Send them pictures and request that it gets repainted at a Service Center.
