Hello. My wife and I just picked up a 2013 Palazzo 33.2, what a beautiful unit, The owner gave me a rundown on all the systems and then we were off. We discovered shortly after we parked for a break at a local shopping mall for the night that the coach batteries were dry (rats). when we got home the next day i shut off the coach batteries and removed them to fill, clean and charge them back up thinking that they would be toast as the unit had been sitting for a year, they did come back to 70% which I'm hopeing will last me awhile yet. After reinstalling the batteries and turning on the switch the Jensen stereo turned on but then the screen went grey and the buttons refused to work. I see quite a few post's about what a crappy stereo this is. Can someone recommend a replacement unit, i cant find a 3 camera unit on the internet. More on my crash course in new Rv ownership later.
thanks for any help.

Most folks with the 212 have gone over to the 215 for ease of installation.

3 camera unit should not be needed. The coach should have a camera controller, mine is under the top of the dash, where the three cameras plug into and then there is one RCA style cable that plugs into the radio. The camera controller is what determines which camera signal to send to the radio.

Happy day

Will wonders never cease. I left the unit unplugged for 24 hrs. plugged it in this pm and it is working fine. I dont have a controller anywhere that I can find but it is nice to know that if I do replace the stereo i could get one and that would solve my issue of not having enough inputs. A word of caution be carefull when rooting around behind the dash as there are sharp edges and you might end up being a blood donor to the RV. Now I really have blood sweat and tears in this thing.

Pete,

The attached is a pic of my radio with the upper part of the dash removed. In the upper left corner of the opening, about 11 o'clock, there is a black box with a white label. If you blow up the picture you can see the camera wires going in and there is one that comes out and plugs into the video jack on the back of the radio.

If you have the Jensen 212 radio I believe that is a single input radio as well (not positive) and that would require you have some kind of controller somewhere.

I found mine when I removed the top part of the dash looking for loose wires. My radio will intermittently loose power.

The 212 is a triple input radio. No external controller is necessary.

Likewise the 215 replacement is also a triple camera input radio.

Thanks For the help guys. Alas i went to check on the stereo today and it was dead again so i will be needing a new stereo. not sure if i want to put another Jensen unit back in as easy as that would be. anybody have a different unit that could take its place. 3 camera would be nice but I could put a controller like Dave has.

FWIW, the controller on my coach is the Jensen Voyager CSW3014
LOL! No matter what you do you simply can't get away from Jensen in the RV world.
