After 4 years of saving and 8 months of research my wife and I signed the paperwork to purchase a 2014 Sunset Trail 290QB. It came down to the Sunset Trail and the Laredo of a similar spec but we couldn't justify the extra 4k for the Laredo. We won't pick the trailer up until April but we have already got 6 weekends sites booked. Now to order my hitch and all the rest of the things I'll need for the trailer. :)

Welcome to the forum and congratulations!...hope you at least got a brochure with lots of pics and info to study over the next few months...

I'm sitting on the boarder of US and Canada in Niagara. My wife and I took about 200 pictures and a few videos on our last visit which I hope will tide is over until April. We are super excited, winter can't end soon enough.

Good luck with your new purchase and welcome to a great forum.

Congratulations on the new Sunset Trail, and welcome to the forum. Make sure your warranty starts from when you pick up the camper and NOT from when you sign the papers. :hatw1:

Where abouts are you from Cooper's dad? I am also from Niagara (Canadian side) and am awaiting my new ST32RL this spring from Layzee Acres in Simcoe

I'm in Niagara Falls, I bought our Sunset at The same place. It was worth the drive up there for the deal we got but I sure hope we won't need to bring it back too often.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. It's my first trailer but I grew up camping with my family, trailer, C class A Class. Still it's going to be a fun learning experience.

wicky , if you buy from said dealer you mentioned ,I recomend you do a very thorough pdi , and check everything ,water pressure in shower , no cracks in skylight, all water fittings for taps with hot water running, and make sure they do not just pump cold grease into ez lubes(blows out rr seal),put water in black and grey tanks to see if drain valves leak, and hopefully yours will be clean and no caulking on step sandpaper. just a heads up.

Welcome to the forum. We are here to help each other down the road to more camping adventures. After the snow melts, we have plenty of things to work on. Hurry up Spring.

Agreed. I have learned things on this forum from great people that I did not even know I needed to know or consider. WELCOME
