I ran across this part taped to the inside of a door in my Four Winds Class C. It looks important.

Kind of looks like a Spam can opener but it does not have the slot.

Anyone know what it is for?

It's to unlock a keyless interior door knob. If somebody accidently locks a door you place this "key" into the small hole of the door knob and feel for the slotted hole inside the knob. Turn it and it will unlock the door.

We've always kept these "keys" around..........kids and now grandkids are locking the doors and shutting them. Saves on breaking the door jam.

Hope this helps.

Bathrooms were always the main target for those keys.:)
Like Infinityrver stated, any door that has an inside lock usually has a slot in the outside knob to enable you to unlock it.

Lloyd our bathroom doesn't gave that. We had to disassemble the entire door knob when DD locked the bathroom door and shut it with nobody in there... not fun at 9pm when you just got backed in and are trying to unpack and get the little one to bed.
