I've been looking at getting a new rv all year long. I bought a 2011 18' work and play and brought it home. I was excited until my wife came home. She went out to the driveway and said : Well let's check it out ! She went inside all the while I had a big smile on my face :) She looks around and said : Take it back ! What ? I just bought it !!! She said its too small ? So I called the guy at the dealer and told him I had to bring it back but wanted a bigger one ! So we went back and bought a 30' one !! Woo Hoo ! I was so excited to get the bigger one. Well we went out for a few little trips and one week long one. Needless to say I wasn't happy. I really thought I had what I wanted but soon realized I didn't. I went to the rv show in march and had my mind set on a xlr. I just stopped by Rv Explorer in Dallas one afternoon to look at there toy haulers. My salesman asked if I had seen the Redwood toy hauler ? No sir I haven't. He showed it to me and it was nice till he showed me the RW36FL. I was back and forth. Last Saturday after 6-7 weeks of looking at them, I called Mark at RVE and told him my wife and I will be up there in a few. I showed it to her and she liked it. I could tell by the look on her face. He offered me a fair amount for my trade and I said let's do it !!! I brought it home today. During the walk through I only found a couple of small items to be addressed. I checked the battery tray last time I was there and there was only one. Today when I looked there were two ! I added a generator, fantastic fan in the bathroom with covers over both fans and 40' lp bottles. This trailer is super nice !

Congratulations on your new coach. We had similar problems with our first choice, many campers ago. I can remember thirteen first years in a tent and the now small problems we incurred $$. Ha Ha Today we are enjoyng all the camping benefits in a "home" on wheels.

Thank you Toby. I went to Lowes last night and picked up the items needed to wire up the 50 amp box the dealer gave me. I'm going to stay in the rv in the driveway and check everything out before we go on a weekend trip

Eric - congratulations on your new coach, excellent choice, same one we recently purchased

Eric,
Congrtulations on the new FL. We have the RW34SK and really like the layout. If you ever get to Tucson look us up.

How far are you from Phoenix? I'll be spending some time down there in late Jan or early Feb with my RL

Dave,
Just a short two hour drive from Phoneix. I am working the Accenture Match Play Golf Tournament Feb 18 thru 24 and going to Arizona's Samboree March 5 thru 10. Let me know and maybe we can get together.

Great, I'll look forward to it. It looks like we'll be down there opening a new franchise of our magazine. That means I'll be making 2 trips, each one lasting about a week.

So I wired in a 50 amp service today. The guy at the service department made it sound like it was a special deal. Googled it ! Everything works so far. The one thing I found was the surround sound was wired wrong so my brother and I fixed that. Tomorrow I'll get some linens and a few other things and sleep in it. Awesome so far !

Maybe Santa will visit you on Christmas eve. Enjoy all the lettle steps of setting up house. We haave found that it never stops and you keep finding new spaces and things to decorate with. Happy holidays!

Sounds good ill be down sometime after the first, I am looking at staying close to Ryan Field there's a plane there I have to work on

I ordered air bags for my truck today. The trailer makes it sag in the rear. I have a 2000 f250. It pulls it just fine just looks weird squatted.

Eric,
WE installed Air Lift air bags on our 2010 F250. We tow an RW34SK which has a hefty hitch weight. The air bags do a great job of leveling the truck and making the ride very smooth. They tend to take out the chucking on bumpy roads. I run 30-35 PSI empty and the pressure goes to 50-55 PSI with the trailer attached.

A trailer should be towed level. If it isn't it shifts the weight on the axles. An unlevel trailer can have an overloaded axle even though the total trailer weight is within limits. Airbags are fine to level the truck and improve the ride as long as a person isn't putting them on so they can tow more than what the truck is rated for.

Eric, You said you had 2 battery trays but do you have 2 batteries? When we first saw ours at the dealer there were 2 trays but only 1 battery...Checked before we left and they had installed the other but only after I brought it to their attention.

Eric,
After reading the posts on the forum I told the dealer that I wanted two 26 or 27 batteries. Lazydays complied without a question.
