I can't wait! Now if only the weather would cooperate some. I've had a Springdale TT for 3 years now and never really figured out how to use the brake control. Any suggestions? I want all to be right for my first new camper.

You have to find out the brand in order to help you. If it's an older model I recommend replacing it with a Prodigy proportional one. Why proportional?? Here:

Features:

  • Brake controller activates trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action
    • Automatically adjusts trailer's braking based on deceleration of tow vehicle
    • Activates immediately - no pausing like with time-delayed brake controllers

Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new trailer. Make sure you do a complete and thorough PDI and if yon find anything at all wrong don't sign anything or take her home. Make sure all is fixed and good to go. If you need a PDI checklist you can do a search on the forum and get some good ones to take with you. If you don't mind me asking what dealer are you buying from and what part of Illinois you all from?

Thompson's Family RV in Davenport. I saw lots of info about the PDI before we picked it up and used them when we walked through on Saturday. Only found a few minor things and the fixed them all.

I just bought the same TT from Thompson's. One thing you should check is the screws going thru the couch to hold the bottom board on. The screws in mine were so long they went thru the fabric and cushion. I'm glad I found them before my child found them.

Congrats on the purchase.

Congrats to you also Jake! Were the screws in the seat, back, or where legs rest? I'll be checking that now....

Where your legs rest. The screws were almost an inch to long. I thought about seeing if I could get a replacement do to the holes.

For now I just lifted the couch and backed the screws out. Going to put shorter ones in before I take it out.
