I think the lights are an interesting idea that went "over the edge". They used so many way too bright LEDs that it looks like Count Dracula is about to emerge from beneath the island. Ha

Our sales rep in Phoenix showed us these. Another new option is for induction burners. You can see them in some of the pictures.

Personally.....I like the darker wood but that's why they have different options. As for the lights....I hope you can turn on just some of them.

The light wood and furniture is not our cup-o-tea either... but some of us drive fords, some don't :)

re: adding the rope lights...

easy add-on now days with the thin led 'tape' lites that pull VERY little power...

I added them to our S&B kitchen above the cabinets to light up all the dusty junk, er ah, "art" the wife put up there !

Wood color is too light for us, but looks good. Too many LEDs going on but do like the counter. Did the LED strip under the counter to ours a while back, simple to do with the outlet right there. Takes the 16' LED strip to cover it.

I don't like it, looks about as nice as the oak cabinets that are finally going away in RV's.

That wood is really light!!!

We got the blonde cherry, took a chance as we hadn't seen a RW with the light wood when we ordered it, when it arrived we LOVED it!!!

I don't really like the light wood either and as far as the light around the island, looks like someone trying to glamourize something which to me makes it look cheap, but then, everyone likes different things so ......go Redwood!!:)

looking at the first photo, what is above the dishwasher. the only thing we don't like about ours is lack of space for all the pots and pans

I like the LED's around the island and would like to see them used in a few different areas. Having indirect light at night like the around the toe kick of this island is great as you can use those lights to still see while not attracting all the bugs to your screen door by having the main overhead lights on. I will say that I do not like how Redwood pulled the TV forward in the cabinetry. I like how my TV is recessed in and having the "ledge" above my fireplace allows me to put a few decorative pieces I had in the sticks and bricks house. Lastly, I wish Redwood would step up the theater surround and offer a Bose surround sound package. I enjoy my movies and music and would not be against paying for the option - especially when this coach is well past $120,000 MSRP.
