Plumbed Backwards

RE Thor sew pipe issue:
I have a 2017 Thor Axis and the indicator lights for the gray and black tanks were wired backwards but the actual pipe plumbing was correct. I knew the plumbing was correct because I have transparent piping and my own macerator so I can see the sewer water as it discharges through the pipes.

Feeling your pain

We have (had) the same problem on our Tuscany DX. Although we suspected the problem for over one year, we were not able to convince the dealer, until recently, when we were no longer able to empty the gray tank. The problem was verified when sewage backed up into the shower.
The dealer found the backwards connection and fixed it. We submitted the claim to Thor yesterday, and they denied the claim. This is a 2018 coach we have owned for 18 months.

Welcome and so sorry for your problem. We had the black tank replaced because where the plumbing goes into the tank had holes in it and thor just use plumbers putty to seal it.

We are seriously considering a 32.2 Miramar, how do you like your unit other than the plumbing issue? We currently have a class C.

I know this is an old thread, but, my indicator light is wired backward on the panel. The plug-in looks like it’s a single multi wire plug. Can you pull them out individually? Otherwise, I’ll just change the wording on the front of the panel. I bought this rig three months ago and it wasn’t until I had left the gray tank open to drain for the freeze that I learned that they were labeled backward.

No macerator here on this beast. Definately the fluid coming out of the 3 inch is brown and the 1 1/2 gray. I pulled the wires on the back of the board at the panel and swapped what I thought was the gray and black leads only to see the whole panel go black with no lights working. Thank goodness when I put the wires back they way they were originally all worked just fine.

The only way I can see to correct the issue now is to exchange the leads coming off the 2 tanks. It is either that or make new labels to stick on the front of my panel display. Thanks for the reply to this old thread.

What type of person are you? A "crawl under the rig with a screwdriver and swap out the tank sensor wires" OR a "get out the label maker" type. You decide what works for you!
