First the size has to be correct.

Second, next to the paperclip there is a small drop down arrow. After uploading the picture go back to the edit screen and click that arrow. Select the image to attach and the attachment will get a placeholder in the edit box. The placeholder will appear at the location of the cursor so before selecting the image put the cursor where you want the image to appear. Save the post and then the image will appear within the posting.

If you post multiple images in the same post, upload them all at one time and then use this feature to position where you want when you want them. This is great when you are explaining the sequence of how you handled a mod or something similar.

As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.

Only negative I have about this Forum. All else is a thumbs up. Have tried to post several pictures w/o using the attachment feature with no success. Just can't seem to get the hang of it but will try your instructions next time. and practice it. Just technologically challenged I suppose.

Two things I forgot to mention is that you must be in the advance edit mode and, at least on my system, the attachment window is a pop up so you must ensure that pop up is allowed on your system.

Thanks Dave, got it to work just as instructed. Put a pic in the new member section

I made a post yesterday in "Modifications" (AC drips...) and included photos. Today the photos are not in the post??? try again..

Regarding posting photos to this forum..remember to resize your original before bringing into this system.. In doing so, you can post multiple photos with ease and use a small amount of page space.

Larry ! just a side note...some folks use their phones for this process..I use my laptop .. and place the photos I want to upload to the forum, on my desktop..in doing so, they are easy to locate...bring them into the 'manage attachments'
window...place cursor where you want them to appear in your message body..hit upload..and then you will find them in the carrot(downward pointer) next to the paperclip cranes in Florida.jpg click on the name of the file and there ya go..your attachment should be in your message body !!

Regarding being technologically challenged...you do not see Ron posting to these threads often...a very talented/smart man, but does not mess with IT work at all !

I hope this and everyone elses suggestions help

Ron & Kay, thanks for your encouraging reply. Now that I've figured out how to post photos---this could be dangerous. LOL
