Promaster Transmission bad after just 50k miles!

My 2021 Thor Tellaro 20kt has just 50k miles on it and the transmission needs replacing!

It is at a dealer in Medford Or because it is still under warranty and needs a certified tech. The tech said there are metal filings in the transmission fluid. The kicker is he has no idea when parts will be available to repair it, and he has two other Promaster units needing transmissions (one is also under 60k miles), and they have been there for MONTHS waiting for parts.

A giant BEWARE about Promaster chassis is in order!

I guess I'm doing a full flush asap! I am at 22k on our 2022 20L, so if they find metal... I will make sure warranty is extended!!

Dealer told me to do at 50k, not waiting!!!

Just scheduled a full ATF flush, along with LOF and inspection. Not taking any chances. tech said "A little early", but I insisted, and will get a report on fluid condition. If clean, then we know. Full synthetic for all as well.

I have heard our Promasters are 1-2 yr old Ducatos from Fiat in Italy from an owner of a FIat he brought over to Canada last summer. not sure if true or not, but as mentioned- not taking any chances. I did that to an old Eurovan and really paid off in the long run. Too many owners do not think about ATF flush, and wonder why it fails.
