Been looking at a new 421GK and wife love it. Me, I have some reservations. What engineer (certainly not an rver) would put the propane
bottled under the goose neck? If don't have a bad back, you soon will wrestling these heavy bottles out of their cubby hole. Just does not make good sense. Been rving 1980 and full timing for 12 years and have never seen anything like it. I may have to pass on this one.

Did you mean the 412Gk?
The selection of any RV is an exercise in compromises. What you are willing to compromise on may not be what someone else is willing to compromise on. Propane bottles in front of the basement on a fifth wheel is not a new invention, quite a few have the propane stored there. For most people, the infrequency of pulling bottles for refill makes this a non-issue.

But you are free to hang your hat on this "problem" and purchase elsewhere.

Do warranties still get cancelled due to full-timing?

If i couldn't get bulk filled at almost any truck stop, I'd find a way to move those tanks (or batteries or shower curtain) to suit me...then I'd suit me somehow else.

Those tanks will easily fit right on one of these;

SOLUTIONS are the solution...always.

Our Landmark had 40-pound bottles on each side on the GN fairly high. they were a handful as well. I have certainly enjoyed getting away from propane.

You may want to look into replacing the steel propane tanks with composite tanks. They are much lighter.

looking at the pictures are those tanks on a slide out shelve if yes that would be my reason to buy, trying to lift and swing bottom into the higher side bays was the pain
