Hello,

Normally I take a photo, but I cannot seem to find it. I have a 2019 Crossroads Zinger 331BH and when hooking up the battery cables, I have red, black and purple. Red will go to positive, black to negative and the purple is long enough and appears to be bended the same way as black (negative) so I would assume it goes there but want to double check. Does anyone else have the same configuration and confirm purple cable to negative? What is this cable? Thank you.

Hello and Welcome!

Do you have a power jack on the hitch? Try tracing the wire and see if it goes there. Last time I had a bumper pull the jack was wired straight to the battery.

What size is that cable? I was thinking that it may be for your brake-away switch, which may be hooked directly to the battery. This should be a blue wire for power but is either 10AWG or 12AWG.

There should be a box or two on the front of your trailer where all the electrical from the tow vehicle and other 12vdc wiring from the trailer are all connected in some fashion. Most of these are connected with marrettes and some may be connected to self reset breakers. On my trailer I have three reset on the front which are then connected to the stabilizer jacks and a few other things.

Best way is to check at an RV dealer if you can't find what it connects to.
