receiver hitch for back of RV

Has anyone added a hitch to the back of their Rushmore? I have a bike rack that goes into 2 inch receiver that I would like to use. I have a bike rack that hangs over the ladder but I do not feel comfortable with the robustness of this setup.

We had one added to the back of our Seville when we got it. The dealer welded the bracketing to the frame and then the hitch tube to the bracketing. Seems to work well so far.

Just get a competent welder/dealer to do the work.

Lippert added one to our Seville when they put the Level-Up system on.

Just double check it On the Cruiser you could void the warrenty. Not sure about the Rushmore. Probably ok heavier frame. Check with Lippert, dealers are not always right

We had a welder add a receiver to our 2013 Rushmore Washington for or light weight motor scooter.
Works great.

Unless it was done by Lippert, it will void the frame warranty. Shows you how much faith they have in their own product, voiding frame warranty because you are hauling a couple of bicycles!?!

Kurt 13703 adjustable RV hitch - hangs too low (has dragged a couple of times) so I will modify it this fall before I winterize the unit. I use it for the same purpose - bike rack that goes into a 2" receiver.

It is bolted to the box piece that holds on the rear bumper - not sure your rear bumper is similar. So I did not technically impact the frame of the RV - just the mount for the rear bumper.

It was OK, because our brand new Rushmore did not come with a warranty at all, so we purchased an extended 7 year warranty. We save a large amount of $$$$ by purchasing a 2013.
We never did get the truth about why it is a new 2013 but they are calling it used even though it was never actually used but new.
I noticed all of the Redwoods have receiver hitches from the factory and are built on the same assembly line as the Rushmores, or so we are told.

Easy to figure out, no warranty and they don't have to fix their mistakes...
