We have a 2021 aria 4000 motorhome and would like to upgrade the couch and put in 2 recliners. Has anyone done that and if so where did you purchase them from?
Thank you.

I replaced the couch in my previous 5th wheel with a pair of powered recliners from RecPro. I moved them into my current 5th wheel because I really like them.

Lots of people have replaced furniture in their RV with recliners but I don't recall any of them being Arias, but it shouldn't matter - RV furniture is RV furniture and the new recliners don't necessarily have to be RV furniture. We got our dual reclining loveseat from Overstock.com. Some purchase from RV Double Recliners -Shop4Seats.com among other places.

We have a Class C and it had the horrible jackknife sofa that would make you posterior hurt after an hour of sitting. We went with a RecPro double powered recliner without the center console. Decided on the cupholders in the arms because the dog likes to curl up in the center when we watch television.

Things to consider; will it fit through the door. Don’t forget to allow for clearance to recline. Most Rv recliners need 3-4 inches at the back even when they are wall huggers . Check dimensions of fully reclined then add the 3-4”. Again will it fit where you want it. Manual vs power. Is there an outlet nearby. Cup holders for me are a must have as is center console for remote controllers.

I replace my couch with rec pro recliners with center console with the leather wrap finish. They are about two years old now and the “, leather finish his peeling off. I called them to see what they could do and they offered me a discount if I buy Something else. They said that’s a known thing and I might want to consider getting fabric instead of leather. They were nice on the phone. It’s just that the material does not hold up.

Before the pandemic we had a new RPX Regal theater built and another one refurbished with fleather power recliners. They're great for watching movies, but if you get there early enough that the house lights are on in the theater you will see how bad they have all peeled. That's one reason we went with microfiber material on our dual reclining loveseats and replacement captains chairs. It holds up well and is easy to clean.

Hello Kathleen,
I have a 2023 Aria 4000 and we did exactly this. Removed the couch and replace with a set of Thomas Payne recliners with heat and massage as well as lumbar and head rest adjustments. I have included the pics to see the space. WE love ours and sometime fall asleep in them. LOL. They do set up a few inches so even at 6’1” my feet do not sit on the floor when the foot rest is out but that does not bother us. They had to build a wood platform to be able to secure them properly which is why they are maybe 3 inches tall in relation to the floor than the fold out couch was. The recliners and center section was about $2400 at a local RV dealer, that is very consistent with the THomas Payne RV furniture web site as well.

I would go with a Lazy Boy brand or a Catnapper that fits the space. I replaced my other RV with Rec Pro electric and they were terrible.

I was looking at the Thomas Payne Heritage theater seating set as a possible replacement for my current sofa/bed. I'm looking for any info on the quality of the furniture. A thread on IRV2 kind of leads me to think it may be over priced plastic junk. I also noticed that if I bought it from the Payne website it would be $1700 plus $300 shipping. However, if I buy from Amazon, it would be $1450 with free delivery. So, is the quality there with this brand? I used shop4seats for my front seats and dinette cushions and they are better quality than what the factory installed, but I am unfamiliar with this vendor that is part of the LCI family. Any info/advice would be appreciated.

That’s the problem
The replacement products are substandard and the seating material does not wear well
We opted to recover and add high quality foam to our couch/convertible bed
Best decision ever made and cost $$$ less

Last year we replaced our Flexsteel captains chairs and couch with a set from shop4seats. These are holding up well and have been worth the money. We are full timers so they have seen plenty of use in the past year.
