redwood bugs

Be careful, we are talking about Dry Camping here. In our motor home which had W/D, you could not run the W/D unless the gray drain was open. This prevents gray water from backing up into your washer when your gray water tank is full. I can't imagine what could potentially happen with gray and black system tied together. The smell from the kitchen sink could get nasty.

I don't know about how RW does the tanks, but Alfa black water was toilet only and gray waa galley, washer and shower...The separation was to keep any black tank aromas from coming back into cabin areas...Yes I know our chemicals are supposed to take cre of that.

I would be happy to have the ability to use the entire 90 gallons of gray tanks for bathing and washing dishes. Don't really want the black water mixed in there but the two gray's combined is a nice thought.

John 317 we watch our tanks very closely and we are dry campers with electricity, we dump our tanks about 1 to 2 times a week the black tank is about every 2 weeks unless we need extra capacity one day.

YesI have done this may times for customers,I have done this on all of my rigs in the past. I will have to to get my FL in my hands before i could tell you how it will work on the redwoods.

from what i saw in Dave's pictures there is room for an additional tank at the rear but due weight distribution it probably cannot be done.

Haven't done any dry camping yet, but can't you use a long dump hose and dump only the gray into the surrounding area or is that too nasty

your grey water can smell worse than the black water not to mention in most states it is illegal to do that.

Thanks. I couldn't find the booster at first because its hidden in a closet beside the bedroom TV but once I did the TV's were able to scan for a few channels. By the way would you recommend the Wingman upgrade for the winegard antenna? I know the best way to go is satellite but we're not looking to do that yet.

The Wing Man option helps bring in VHF channels. The original design doesn't catch channels 2 through 13 very well. The option is easy to attach and will help you pick up those low frequency channels.

Farmerjohn you shouldn't need the wing man with your antenna. The wing man is for the older antennas that are not specifically designed for digital TV.

most of the soaps and shampoos used today will kill a lot of plants and small trees, so I've been told.

Any one installed 12 volt tank heaters? if so what brand did you go with.

You're so right! This was an important topic (defects & resolutions). Someone should start one. Will probably kill off the rest of the threads though...
