Great little campground in Dartmouth... Shubie's campground (across the harbour from Halifax).... a short walk and bus ride to the ferry across to Halifax... lots to see while there.

Steve, I will post our itinerary in about 3 weeks, have not planned it yet. We welcome all recommendations.We will be traveling with 2 Grand Girls, ages 11 and 10 and our "Animal Kingdom" of course.

I think you should buy each girl an airgun and a safari hat. That way at night when they have you worn out, they can go on the hunt after the critters. Imagine the excitement with the bird yelling obscenities at the girls ( reminds me of the bird in the movie Aladdin) and the cats running in all directions while the girls are taking shots. Of course you'd have to do this while Sam was taking the herd of dogs for a walk because somethings wives simply don't see humor in.

Just got off the phone with Twin Mills!! Yea!!! We across the way from all of you guys. We will be in site C70. It is a 'back-in' spot... We are arriving on the 8th and leaving on the 12th.

Just got off phone with Twin Mills. She is reporting 4 sites left and
they are 30 amp only. We are in C49. Last year we were ROWs (Redwood
Owner Wannabes) and spent some time drooling over the rigs that were
there.We now we have a new 2103 36FB and a Chevy Silverado 3500
Dually. We loaded up on a lot of the options except the full paint.

So
many of you last year were very helpful and we are looking forward to
learning a lot more this year. I have started a list of things I want
to see and discuss with others. Things like LED lights (inside and
out), Satellite dish, full timing and etc.

See you all in August.

Just sent you a PM. Yes, I did tell them we were with Redwood group. I assumed she gave me the correct rate, $83.00? She said they had just reserved the last 50 amp and had only 4 (after mine) 30 Amps left. The last 50 amp was a back in across from mine.

Ian, wasn't that your site last year?
Without knowing it, I booked my same site as last year C57. It's only 30A, but I didn't want to forego all those pine needles falling like rain.

Dave picked same site again I think. We're all creatures of habit...

Yupper ... same site as last year. When I first called Twin Mills they mentioned C59 and C60 which was on the end, so I said, sure take the end one ... then as I was doing the credit card thingie I thought ... C59 ... that was the site we had last year! "Switch to C59 please?" No problemo! Done deal.
We have booked for the 3 nights (Thu, Fri & Sat) ... is that what most are planning?
If Col John is not coming who is hosting the bar??!! (and supplying the booze??!!)
John, I lived in Dartmouth, NS for three years and then Halifax for another 3 years while attending university. 1973 to 1979. Great place and fond memories ...

After I saw tall-pines posting I thought I'd better s----, or get off the pot so I called and reserved site C60. Slim chance that we won't be able to make it, but if we can't will try to sublease it or there will be a party spot available. We're thinking positive though so will see you all there. Looking forward to putting faces to the posts.
