Redwood spotting

We spent a week in the Cortez/Durango area of Colorado, (without our RW, unfortunately) and spotted two Redwoods. One was in an RV park in Silverton, and the other was headed toward Pagosa Springs from Chama on Hwy 285. Next month I hope others will be spotting us headed that way!

White & Tan pulled by a blue Chevy sitting in the Al's Oasis RV lot off I-90 exit 260 yesterday at 11:30AM.

We are camping in LA Conner, WA, in our Arctic Fox camper and have found a Sequoia also camping here. We have walked past it several times but have not spotted its owners. This is only the second RW we have seen out west in nearly a year. We think they hang out mostly east on the Mississippi!

Really! Wish we were there! But it is very nice up here. We are heading down to Pacific City, OR, next weekend with the camper for the eclipse, then the following week to the Quileute campground, near Forks, with the Sequoia.

Well we've been on the road 6 weeks now and the only other Redwood we have seen was the 80 or so at the Shipshewana campground during the rally. Not another one in a campground or on the highway. We're currently in Houston TX so didn't see any between Indiana and here either.

On my way home from Disney today, I saw:

1- 2015,16, or 17 Black and silver being pulled by a silver Ford Dually.. South Carolina , on 95 south, middle part of the state in the AM

2- new 2018 Black and Silver being pulled by a Dodge SRW also south on 95, but up in the middle of NC

We say two Redwoods on our ten day trip to Cortez, CO. We spotted one parked at the Cortez fair grounds last week, and then last Sunday we waved at the folks pulling their RW north on St Francis (Hwy 285) in Santa Fe, NM.

We are currently in the grizzly RV park at west Yellowstone Montana. There is another black and tan towards the rear of the park and a black and gray FL just pulled in three spaces down

Drove through Gulf Waters Beach Front RV Resort in Port Aransas TX today to check it out...saw 4 Redwoods and 1 Sequoia. Will have to spend some time there some day.

The Black and Tan was us - we are working at the park for the summer and it's been wonderful. We tried to catch up with you and the other RW but you were already gone. Actually thought you might be traveling together. Maybe we can catch up next time!

I thought that may have been you. When we were in the CG you were not. I was only able to say Hi from 50 feet away to the other guy. I asked him if he needed help setting up and he said no. He set up and was gone....

This is one of out favorite places to visit. Next time I will knock and leave a note on your door!

Hope everyone in Port Aransas got out before the storm. Pioneer RV Park is a total loss. No news on the other parks yet, but it's not good.

Saw a video on FB of a drive by of Gulf Waters. Their main building is there, but can't tell about any of the interior damage. Video of Pioneer is pretty rough. Lots of rigs on their sides or upside down.

Passed two Redwoods in Texas on US 281 on Labor Day...one near Jacksboro and one in Hico. Hope they and everyone else had a great holiday.

Saw a Redwood on Hwy 21 headed toward Wisconsin Dells, in Wisconsin.

Really looks massive when it is coming at you on a two lane road.

Spotted what looked like a newer 36RL pulled by a newer red SRW Ford crossing from Kentucky into WVa on Saturday around 1PM on 64.
