Redwood spotting

That may have been us. Yesterday, we were headed south to Winterset RV Resort on the north side of Palmetto, FL. Arrived here about 2:30 PM.

Welcome to SW Florida, we exited just north of Palmetto for fuel and saw you continue on south, you must have exited just after we did. After fueling we continued down to Sarasota.

Hope you enjoy the sunshine and warmth of Florida...no more cole for this winter:LOL:

My wife is loving the warmth. I am still trying to adjust to heat and humidity. When we left northeastern Indiana last Friday, it was 19 degrees. I guess I'll just have to suffer for awhile!! :fishing:

I didn't think Florida had a humidity problem in the winter? Ugh that is one think I can do without! We are headed down Dec. 30!

Highs in the low 80's, lows in the high 60's all this week in Sarasota, supposed to get a tad bit cooler next week, 70's/40's but it won't last long. When it feels warm we just jump in the pool to cool off!

Much better than 40's/20's we were in last week!!

As long as it stays above 60 I'd be thrilled. We be heading South this January for a few weeks.

OnTheRoad...........the weather has been great here this past week.

John & Eileen.........it does get humid here in the winter time. We go for our walks here early in the mornings or while it's a little cooler. I never have done well in humidity and especially not in heat and humidity. But, my wife is loving this. As they say, Happy wife, happy life.

Dave.........I even enjoyed the panhandle of Florida last winter when it was cold as Florida standards go. We had a few days below 40 degrees but most of the time it ranged from 45 to 70 degrees. But, one night it got down to 19 degrees and froze the water supply lines.

This is kind of a "backwards" sighting, because we were the one being "spotted" and we ended up being united with the spotters thru the Redwoodowners.com forum! How cool is that!

One of our members happened to be staying in a RV park in the town we live in here in TX. We haven't had our RV out except for weekenders, but we have it parked at our house. Low and behold, 'Marilyn H' happened to be taking in the sights and "Spotted" our trailer off in the distance, and knew it was a Redwood even tho it was half concealed! Keen eyes...

Back to forum... and taglines... gotta love them! That's how I knew they were in my hometown and HAD to meet up with them!

We ended up connecting... sharing lots of stuff, and really enjoying each others' company. I'm sure we will meet up again, this time 'on purpose'.

Just spotted one @ 2:15 today on I 75 between Jonesborough and Stockbridge GA heading south . Late model with new type paint scheme being pulled by either a white Ram or Chevy.

Actually got a pic of the RW spotted on the 12th of December on I 75 just south of Atlanta!

We have a bunch of Redwoods here in Denver, you just can't see them because they are covered in snow! At -14 tonight, some may be shattered like safety glass by morning if something touches them.....

Time to go camping!

What part of the trailer are you referring to?

We have pulled our previous non full body painted SOB units at -15 F.

Time to go camping!

I agree, but last time I even touched it at this temp, everything broke :) I raised the jacks and two started leaking, fender was broke, and I just decided not to even touch it until it warmed up.

Ya I'm sure it would be useable Tom, but at this temp I just don't mess with it.

A RW pulled in here at Tanglewood in Sebring this Afternoon, looks like an RE or BR. Will have to see if we can find anyone home tomorrow.

We just arrived in FL and this is what I see from my 36RL living room window! There are at least four Redwoods in this park!
I can only get one photo to attach and its incorrectly oriented! :banghead:

Oh MAN! THATS what you see out the window!

I am so sorry, was it the wind? That's going to take a bit to get you back on your wheels.

Just think, he sees something similar out his window :hide:

sorry -I couldn't resist....

As a point of info, anyone know why all of the pics are landing on their sides? I don't remember this ever being an issue before.
