In our 388FKL when closing all 4 slides, you get trapped in the hallway between dinette slide out and the bed at the back. Anyone know how they wire the 2024's? Thinking about removing the switch and relocating to the back door area so I no longer need to crawl across the bed on my way out of the unit. Do these have - & + power wires and -&+ motor leads and do all the switching right at the switch or do they have forward and reversing contactors and control wiring from the switch. Ran out of time to pull the panel last weekend to inspect.

There are no wiring diagrams for the campers. Depends on who installed the wiring at the factory and they don't keep a record of this.

Do what I did. I have opposing slides and when both are close you can’t access the bedroom or bathroom. We were in a bad storm with 60mph winds and couldn’t go to bed and close the slide. And the wind was literally pushing in the top of the slide and it was slamming back. We had to sit in the dinette area until 3:30 AM until the winds died down because we were afraid it was going to damage the slide but if we could’ve gone to bed and closed the slide; all would’ve been a lot less stressful. So, I started looking into it and found RV intelligence. They make controls that you wire in between the main wiring and your switch. Then you can control the slide with your phone. Check it out. https://www.rv-intelligence.com/smartrvcontrols/

Pulled the trigger on an RV Intelligence Slide control module. I was kind of surprised at the lack of space behind the main switch control panel in our Hampton. Hoped to mount the controller on the stairway wall or right behind the panel area on the bathroom wall. Large bundles of wire ended that idea quickly!! I removed an access panel in the bathroom that held the back side of the breaker panel and DC charging unit and found wires exiting the wall. I was able to fish wires down the wall and into that access area. As luck would have it I found a 4" dia. hole in the back wall leading to under the loft stair way. Ended up leaving the RV Intelligence controller behind a fresh air return grate under the stairway. Went to my rear doorway where I'll use my phone to control my rear slide. Had full signal!!!! Slide is now fully controlled via phone app!!!
No more climbing over the bed to get to slide and lighting controls! Time and money well spent!!!
