Can someone tell me why there is a "remember me" box on the sign in page when almost every time I want to visit the forum I have to sign in again even though I check the remember me box..???

The sign-in Options and the 'remember' function is a function of your internet browser and it's settings.
You can have the option to have your browser remember your user name and password for any site. It gets a little confusing when the browser doesn't automatically fill the fields, because you have the settings to clear the browser cache when it closes.
In this case you just click the field for fill-in option.

Tommy, that is strictly for the session on the forum that you currently signed in on. It will keep you logged in only until you sign out. Next time you sign into the forum you have to check it again. If you don't mark the (remember me box) and just sit there without any activity on your part, the forum is set to sign you out after 15 minutes. That is why some have trouble when posting, they sit there to long thinking about what to write, and the forum signs them out before they can post.

Does that make sense?

When you check the "Remember me" box, the website should save a cookie with your credentials on your PC. If you have blocked cookies, it cannot save the credentials.

Thanks Kemp, but being I don't like cookies I guess I will be signing in every time I get on the forum like I had to do today...

Tommy, You will have to sign in every time if you want to see any pics, attachments, or links that somebody has posted to a thread.
When you sign out, the cookies are cleared from your PC.
By marking the (remember me box) the forum won't sign you out if you sit there for 15 min. with no activity on your part.

Thanks Lloyd... As you can see I am computer illiterate... It's sad for me to say that my Great Grandchildren are better at this stuff than I am...
