I'm looking to replace both driver and drinker seats as well as the jack knife sofa (with a dual reclining seat and retractable middle armrest). I've been looking at all the places (websites) for replacement RV furniture.

I was wondering if anyone has information / advice about two things:

1) I see lots of seats with "integrated" seat belts.. My 2021 Thor Windsport does NOT have these kind of seat belts and I want to know if they'd be safe and legal to use as a replacement?

2) None of the seats I'm looking at on these sites seem to have adjustable arm rests - can anyone point me towards a site/seat that does?

Thanks!

You probably have "half-integrated" seatbelts.

The lap belt is probably attached to the base with the shoulder strap going to the outside wall. The only difference is the shoulder harness is integrated into the back of the seat. In reality, it probably will make no difference in an RV accident.

I have had two Rec Pro Charles reclining love seats. The first one was their cheap simulated leather. It began to peel after 18 months. If you significant other is not height challenged, the love seat will work fine. My DW is 5'4" and gets into seat fine, but love seats are about 7" taller than the couch they replaced and add in the 5 inch slide floor height and .....

I have had the Charles love seat "oatmeal" fabric for 5 years and absolutely no complaints. In fact, I just replaced my peeling dinette cushions with Rec Pro 42" memory foam replacements (in oatmeal). If you absolutely have to have have the leather look, go with the Ultima Fabric's Brisa (polyurethane). At $75 per yard it is worth it.

I have a Windsport 34F and just installed new captain chairs from shop4seats with the Ultra Leather. No adjustable armrest. Haven’t seen that option. As for the seatbelts. I was told that you may incur liability issues if you are in an accident or if you sell the coach with non OEM restraints. They have a backing plate that would be bolted under the chassis but they said they only use that for units that came OEM with integrated restraints. I just kept the OEM system.

I just replaced mine last month. 2017 Hurricane31S. After much research I went with Shop 4Seats. I replaced both captain seats. It was a simple change out and seat belts stayed original. I replaced the sofa bed with double recliner sofa with fold down center console that allows just sofa if desired. Seat belts also stayed original on sofa reclines however I did not run seat belts thru recliner as no passenger would ride there in my MH. I folded them up under recliners in case I ever do need them. I upgraded to elite leather on all and extra cushion on captain chairs. I’m 74 and was able to DIY the change out in a few days. It wasn’t the cheapest but not the most expensive out there either. It took about two weeks from order date to receive from west coast to east coast. I am confident the quality will be worth what I paid for and they look great. I’m pleased with what I installed. Shop 4 Seats was very helpful. If you pm me I can send pics.
