Our dealership is pushing Route 66 extended warranty for $2999. Also Maxx Guard for interior/exterior protections for $2100.
Anyone deal with these in recent years??
We have a Hampton Destination that will see little road time.
Should I expect $3000 in failures??? If you had to do it again would you or wouldn't you buy the extra protections???

Negotiate!!!

We bought a new Cruiser Aire a few weeks ago, and I wound up getting the extended warranty for about 55% of the original price quoted. I simply told them "I know extended warranty is your #1 most profitable thing you sell". He sheepishly agreed and after I told him I would just go with Good Sam extended warranty (which I would NEVER do) - he finally got serious about discounting.

I wouldn't get the exterior package - just the one that covers things like A/C units, fridge, furnace, electronics, slides, etc.

And I'm retired, so I like to hedge against sudden unexpected expenses.

If you stick to your guns and be prepared (or make them think you're prepared) to walk out, they'll generally come around. Same thing with extended warranty on vehicles.

Happy it worked out for you.

A wise old man once told me "If you don't ask they can't say no. And if they do your no worse off then before you asked" :thumb:

I hope it works for you, I am finding out that my supposed full extended warranty doesn't cover the little things like trim coming off. Next time I will invest the money and pay for repairs I can't do myself, which appears to be most of the issues I have had come up.
