We would like to visit Yosemite Nat'l Park this summer. We would like to stay longer that 1-2 days, so full hook-ups is what want.

Not sure what you are asking for but have you made reservations because they have limited access

We would like to stay in the area for two weeks maybe longer, but we do not want to stay 3-4 hrs. way.
We want full hook-up for motorhome. The campsite within the park do not have full hook-ups. Also, five of the campgrounds are closed until mid July.

A quick Google of RV Parks near Yosemite offered several options. Be aware, you are asking for prime time reservations in what may be America’s most popular national park. Good Luck!

We stayed at Indian Flats which was just a few miles from the park entrance. Some of the sites are close together. It served our needs for 2 nights in a 38 foot Class A with a toad. Some reviews will mention a "scarry" bridge. Yes, you must cross a temporary bridge due to rock slides just ahead, but the big tour busses do it every day without a problem. The bridge is plenty wide and although on first glance the entrance and exit turns look too small there is more than enough room.

The closest we've ever stayed is Livingston, Montana. It's about 60 miles north and there are multiple parks on 89 on the way to the north entrance.

Valley View RV Park Campground, U.S. 20, Island Park, ID. Close to west entrance. If you are lucky, the playhouse across the street will have a play going on. It is worth seeing.

Ditto on Indian Flats RV Park; not fancy but FHU and closest RV park to Yosemite Valley, 7 miles to park boundary. I've stayed at Indian Flats many times.

Lt keeper and Schoolteacher I think your in Yellowstone and this is about Yosemite or maybe I need to look at a map

You are correct. We stayed here for Yosemite, but it looks like the road to the park is out of service.
Coleville / Walker KOA Holiday, U.S. 395, Coleville, CA

Unless you have a school schedule that dictates it, I don't understand going to popular destinations during peak season. Can you adjust your schedule so finding a campsite isn't a chore?

This is the park we stayed at 2 years ago. Dead center of the park, need to have a hard-sided RV. Not the cheapest, but great for seeing the park over a couple of days if you have a second vehicle. It's getting pretty close to prime time, so there may not be any availability.

FWIW.

The Fishing Bridge Yellowstone is 976 miles from Yosemite so it’s a little outside OP request for under 3 hrs to Yosemite

If you are coming from the south, you can also stay at Yosemite RV Resort. A little better than Indian Flats but still a bit on the rustic side. It is also a little farther from Yosemite, about 45 mins to the south gate and 1.5 hours from the valley floor but it is along a good highway with easy in and out. Stayed in our 35' with toad and was no problem.

Outdoorsy in Bass Lake is 18 miles from the south entrance on 41 (about 30 min, then 30 min to the Glacier Point turnoff, then 30 minutes to Yosemite Village depending on traffic). Haven’t stayed there for a few years but the website says they have full hookups.

Don’t forget you have to have a daily reservation in addition to the entrance fee.
