Ok, to start with I must say that I am a salesperson and I hire sales people for my business. So I'm not against sales people BUT I'm amazed at what comes out of their mouths sometimes. Some of the information is so wrong that it's funny. I guess since I hire salespeople I'm more critical of them, so I thought it might be entertaining to hear some of their wisdom when it comes to RV sales.
case in point #1 Last week I was shopping for a new truck so I went to all the dealers to see what they had on their lots. I was at a Dodge dealership and a salesperson came over to my wife and I to help. After telling him what I wanted he said I was crazy for wanting a 3500. He said that those numbers in the brochure mean nothing at all...a 1500 would pull anything I could conect to it.
#2 One of the local dealers tried to sell me a used trailer that weighed over 15000lbs empty. I told him that my truck couldn't pull the trailer with anything in it. He said that he pulled it with a 3/4 ton truck and that there was nothing to worry about. He said "The only people looking at those numbers are truck salespeople trying to sell you a new truck"
