When setting up, which one do you do first, level first or open slides?. In motor homes you open slides first, but with fifth wheel is it different?. I know, question is similar to which came first, egg or chicken. Thanks for suggestions.

I was told by my dealer to always level first then open the slides, that way there is less stress on both the slide mechanisms as well as the leveling system.

Yup!, wish acompanying books would be more informative. Guess you cant get everything!Edited by: John8545

Ditto, level first. I don't know, but most of the MH folks we travel with, also level first before deploying slides.

Its true, but diesel pooshers require opening slides, dumping air and then leveling. We were foloving said corse. Thats why asked, Thanks to all for help.

Maybe a little extra work...What would be wrong with leveling firset then putting out slides then re leveling...Couldn't be much leveling going on but might be a little more level
