We just returned from 3 days at Lake Tawakoni State Park to check out systems, etc. We truly enjoyed our stay. One thing I found is how the dealer tech rushed the walk through, performing minimal operations of systems himself rather than guiding me through them. I guess I was not demanding enough to slow him down. But in the end, everything worked out, with help from a neighbor at the campground and a couple of calls to the folks at Crossroads/Redwood. Once we took possession, The dealer's service department became quite difficult to contact. Too bad I didn't have Ken Wilcox's PDI checklist before we bought the Redwood. Sometimes it is just "operator short to ground" for me. LOL. See some attached photos.

Most any questions you have can be answered here in short time.
Glad you had a good first trip. The RW is our first 5er and we moved out of a class A so many changes. We also were not educated well when leaving the dealer and our funniest moment was when we got home. Looking everywhere for a switch to put the stairs out... welllll we always had electric steps and this one didn't. Now we laugh about that day!!!

Enjoy the adventures.

Our rig showed up at the dealer in February. We weren't picking it up until April first. He wanted to get paid so we did the pdi, signed the papers and left, leaving it with the dealer. We returned on April first to pick up our rig and almost forgot everything they showed us two months ago.
We started with some basic questions and they took us outside and preceded to do the pdi again almost in full. We left with an almost complete understanding of all the systems and everything working at that time.

when we did our PDI , I was coming from another fiver so I was only interested in learning about the stuff I have not had before.. So I rushed him threw it until we got to something I needed to learn..

There were times that I think I knew more then him , like the level system that we learned together..

When we did the PDI on our used Redwood, they were surprised because I do QC inspections at a large RV competitor. Been doing this for over 13 years. So there wasn't much that I haven't seen before. I brought my bright LED light, roll of red tape, borrowed their creeper and started underneath the unit. And of course we found a few items that needed attention. But since this was our 5th rv, we are pretty familiar with most things, and how they all work. But we also considered that we were buying a 2 year old unit and getting the best 'bang for the buck' so to speak.

when we bought our RW it was use also but the previous owners only used it for 2 months and then traded it in. I was able to get the previous owners name from the registration and track them down to see if any work had been done on the RW. I also called RW and checked to see what Warranty work had been preformed. When I asked the dealer if any work had been done I made sure to tell them I would be checking. Everything matched and I was happy with the reports only work done was replacement of light fixture a leaky water valve by washer. Then RW stepped up and gave a as new warranty in writing for 2 years from date of purchase. best of all previous owner had done many upgrades that I did not have to do.
