Slide floor carpet replace to vinyl plank

Has anyone removed dinette recliner slide carpet and put vinyl plank flooring in? If so how did you do outer that the old carpet tail piece that covers the slide? I know carpet is easy to take out but concerned about edge over main floor

i think there is a transitional piece you can get , where you bought the flooring
