Can any body tell me why my slide when closing starts to move then stops and starts and stops until it is all the way in? could it be a weight, or a batterie problem

ealer and they said it is serging maybe a breaker problem,So yes we will be taking it in.OMG........We will be full timers starting the New Year so we are glad to get it fixed before weget on the road!!!!!!!!

Are you talking the Electric Bedroom Slide or the Hydraulic main slides?? Bedroom - could be the adj on the controller for stopping the slide when it detects sufficient resistance.
Main slides, no controller involved, BUT you do have self resetting circuit breakers (two 50 amp in parallel). We have had a problem with our recently when morning temps were in the 40s and bringing the slides in, would stop several times. Now in warmer climate no issue. I suspect that one of my breakers is very weak or open and the cold temps make the hydraulic fluid thicker making the pump work harder thus drawing more current than a single breaker can handle. This has been a known and ongoing problem with Montanas and since the frames come from the same place.......need I say more?

Michelle, we had problems similar to the ones are experiencing. The fix was to rewire the battery terminal to the Trombetta and a new groundbar, perRedwood's TSB. Ours works like a charm now.

The bedroom slide on my RL is very, very slow. I always cringe when I'm retracting because I'm afraid that it will actually stop... and then what? But it always finishes. I feel lucky...

Mine was very slow as well but the factory fixed it for me. Apparently it was sagging toward the front and there was too much pressure being put on the guide rollers. Call the factory and have them look at it. Since they worked on mine it slides in like it doesn't have hardly any resistance.

There is a control valve assembly for the slides located in the battery compartment. Check to make sure they are all open all the way. If one is partially closed it could effect the way that slide operates.
Just a hunch I had but it's free to check.

The only electric slides on our 36FL are the living room slides. I forgot that the rest of you have front bedrooms.

Well i talked to the dealer yesterday they say it is a battire problem .sence they have a 24 volt in the coach ,witch to run the slides you should at least have a 27 volt hmmmm

lets fix it .going full time at the end of the month.

12 V is 14 V system 24 V is a 28V system look at the volt gauge in your truck when the Batteries are fully charged your at almost 14 Volts and then it goes downhill from there how are they getting 24 volts two 12 volt Batteries in series or two 24 volt Bats. I would guess in series so they can be charge at 14 Volts.
One thing I noticed and will change is the cables coming off the Batteries or only 6 Gauge I plan to put a set of 00 cables and a bigger buss bar and for safety enclose the buss bar

Hmmm. I agree with Beechguyjim. The coach uses 12 voltsfor all of the systems. You can check the gage on the Levelup. The max will be around 14 volts. The two 12 volt batteriesshould be in parallel to have 12 volts at a higher current. Two batteries in series would be 24 volts, and that is not what the coach uses. Could bewrong but thats the way I believe it should be.

All i know is the dealer said we had one 24v should be 28 v he is tring to put another24v in.

Skipper, these are 12 volt systems. As for your slide, when I was at the factory they showed me how to spray silicone lubricant on the slide glides (the silver bars on the outside with wavy lines on it). Apparently when we wash our trailers we wash off the silicone and they work so much faster and better when they are lubed up. Make sure you ONLY USE silicone as the lubricant.

Also, when my slide was working slowly, I discovered I only had one battery which the dealer corrected later.

No such thing as 24v or 27v battery. It sounds like they are talking about the "Group" size of the battery(ie. Group 24 or Group 27 sized batteries). They're all 12v unless you go out and purchase a pair of6v golf cart batteries - and then you have to measure carefully.

Either way, apparently lots of problems if your dealer did not install a matchedsecond 12v battery.
