We took delivery of our 2010 ZT25RK recently, and I can't figure out how to MANUALLY close/open the slideout. The book is confusing. Where is the winch located...inside or outside.

Most are found through a 1" hole in the side of the rig OPPOSITE the slide. You should have received a long rod with a crank for this purpose. Caution...the mechanism is very weak and several people have sheared the pin. Use only if absolutely necessary.
