It will also change with State and Location within that State. So in a nut shell it is almost impossible to really compare rates unless you're just getting quotes from all the major companies for your rig in your area.
I'm interested in finding out what other people from Ontario are paying for insurance. I am with Intact Ins. and for my 36 RE 2012 they insured for 100,000.00 and 26,000.00 contents. My cost an astronomical $1400.00 that's just for the trailer. They insured it under a home owners policy.
We have our insurance through Farm & City in Forest City Ia.which is an independant and handles different companies. They have a seperate division that just handles RV insurance. We are registered in SD and our insurance on our 2012 36RL is a little over $1000.00 a year. We are full timers and therefore have full timers coverage. I don't know how much it affects your cost, but the $26,000 contents coverage seems kind of high to me. We live in ours full time and have all our stuff with us, but we don't carry any where near that amount.
The policy say that the 26,000 contents is included. Your right we don't have that much either. We are not full timers YET. In a year or 2 we hope to be. We thought we would get our trailer now and work out and bugs for when we do go on the road.
Thanks for the reply!
