soap dish peeling

Thanks for clarifying - I can't tell sometimes who responds and I tend to default to the "guy". My DW chews me out for that sometimes.

I know, I should include my signature. I'll try. And don't feel bad, I tend to default to the guy too, for some reason. Silly, I obviously know better! Todd is with us IN SPIRIT <ggg> ~THERESA

We have the FB with the big shower, no soap dish or the plastic rods across the corner shelves. We added the OXO brand corner shelves with suction cups. Also I probably would've removed soap anyway, we haven't used bar soap in years, too messy, only liquids.

Ours is the same as TNT, hardware wise, all brushed nickel except for clear plastic soap dish.

We have an FB, we do have the brushed nickel soap dish, we're not experiencing any deterioration of the finish...yet???
We don't really use the soap dish, we also don't use bar soap. We opted for the liquid dispenser to help eliminate the abundance of bottles in the shower, just refill when they start getting empty.

I hat to comment on this as I don't want to jynx it. ours is a 2012 and use it full time. no peeling, no cracking. still looks new.

Personally, I think this month's happy dance award should go to Theresa. I've never seen anyone write with such excitement. :)

I swear it looks like they ran out of brushed nickel at the faucet factory so they spray painted their inventory of chrome ones to catch up. Maybe that's why some peeled and others not?:)

Sometimes a straight line is the shortest resolve - Redwood is replacing the peeling shower fixtures by warranty, but the Dealer is wanting to do several things at once so I'm in the "que" waiting for resolve on a cabinet door.

In the meantime I wrote an email to Durafaucet and sent pics. Got new fixtures on the porch this morning direct from Durafaucet. The new fixtures include the clear soap dish rather than the nickel one.

Noticed my soap dish is starting to peel now. Thanks for the direct contact, might have to drop them an email.

I just used that little "Contact Us" reply they have on their website, and was able to get some pictures in there from my photoserver using the http: link

Traveling to Niagra Falls and then on to Maine. Made a lunch stop only to find the large blinds at the end of our 36 RL half down. Now how to fix this problem? Any advice anyone? What is the best way to remove the covers over the binds?

Our soap dish and other fixtures have the mickle coming off too.
Thanks for your help!

Our bedroom blinds came apart as well. The blinds came unglued from the roller. I called Redwood and got a replacement, but in the meantime, I used 3 pieces of Gorilla tape across the top to hold the blinds to the roller. I have the replacement, but have not installed it yet because the Gorilla tape is holding almost a year later.

If I remember right there were three brackets holding up the back blinds and valance. They are screwed in with the square head screws. Your best best is to use wood glue and a toothpick. Glue the toothpick in to the hole, let it dry, break it off, then use the screw to reattach the blind. This will give the screw some bite.
