Hi everyone I’m thinking of adding a couple of solar panels to my Thor 2005 hurricane can you suggest a easy way and cheap way to do this I have 2 house batteries 12 volt now as equipment.shoud I add 6 volt batteries for this system as well.

Why 6 volt?
Why solar?

Few people need solar except to keep their battery up during storage.
They want it, but their engine and alternator is already there.

What's your plan?

If you want to dabble in solar you can pick up an entire kit like this:

They had it on sale last week for $110. I picked one up to put on my sailboat.

As Duck said what's your plan? WHY do you want to do this?

After answering that, it's a simple exercise to select equipment based on want and budget.

Do you boondock? Plan to?
Are your batteries going dead in storage?

Answering those questions go a long way to forming a plan.
