I have a 2023 Thor Windsport 34r with factory solar. I’m the second owner and the previous owner never tried to use it. The system is controlled through the “Firefly” panel on the wall, I cannot find another controller. The only reading I have is the cumulative power the system has produced showing 53252 kWh. There are no other readings and the GoPower panel says -Go Power controller offline-. I’ve contacted Thor who looked through their manuals but couldn’t provide any help. I also contacted Go Power who stated that the Go Power system will not operate through the Firefly system! I’m at a loss. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

You sure you have Firefly?

The brochure says you have RapidCamp.

Some have BMPro

Some may not agree, but I'll give my 2¢. If you're capable, I'd completely bypass the proprietary Firefly. If you don't have one already, get a standalone 30 amp MPPT solar charge controller. Find the termination point of the 10 gauge cables coming from the roof solar panel(s)... connect those directly to the charge controller. Then use appropriate sized cable to connect the charge controller to the house batteries. Done!

IMO, the Firefly system is very unreliable... read all the posts with problems. Trying to resolve your solar issue with a proprietary control panel can be a frustrating process.

By eliminating the unknown internal workings of the Firefly, you greatly simplify your troubleshooting process.

I appreciate your input. I may look into that.

It's my observation that Thor simply re-brands whatever control system they buy from vendors as "Rapid Camp something" in their marketing material. Back when my '18 29M was built, it got the LCI Linc remote system and it was branded the same. Starting around '19, Thor migrated to the Firefly G9 system then later migrated to the Firefly G12 system.

Looking through the Thor schematics for the OP's coach, it shows a G12 system. There also does not appear to be anything connecting the solar system with the G12.

I have a 2022 Omni with the upgrade solar system and G12 system. I found an online fuse under the coach, near my house batteries. When it blew, I got the same messages on my display. I also had no battery LED on the MPPT.

I also have a problem with the screen by not displaying the load of my solar panels
I have a 10amp mppt and everything is original. The lights on the mppt are well turned on and the com wire is well connected
someone has an idea of the problem?

Inline fuse on B+ cable to battery/ controller, or inline fuse on 10AWG cables at panels sometimes. Check incoming voltage with multimeter to see if anything is coming from panels. What color are the lights on the controller- check manual as well.

Well I guess I’m not sure. Thor told me yesterday that it was Firefly.
You do have the Firefly system. What you're seeing indicates that the Go Solar! controller is physically disconnected from the Firefly system. (---- and nothing under the Firmware etc. You'll want to track that module down and make sure it has power/green LED lights indicating proper communication, and make sure the orange RVC communication cord is plugged in solidly. Feel free to give our Firefly support team a call, 574-825-4600 M-F 8:30-5 EST except major holidays.
