We are very excited to be taking possession of a 2016 25.2 next weekend and are very grateful for this forum. We've been driving a 2000 Chinook Concourse XL for the past 3 years, and although we have loved it's coziness and convenience, decided to get something bigger to take much longer trips when I retire soon. One question I haven't found quite the answer to yet is putting a bike rack on the back of a 25.2 - do they interfere with the slide out? Would we have to remove bikes when we put out the slide out or are there better solutions? Other tips are more than welcome. My husband is a retired city bus driver, and he will be my driving instructor at some point. We are flying to Las Vegas to get the rv and driving it back to Eugene, OR in 2 nights. We've lined up our campgrounds and look forward to exploring our new "home away from home".

Congratulations hope you enjoy the new m/h we love ours. I don't know about the bike rack I would guess you would have to measure it for clearance

Just sold my 2016 Axis 25.2 and yes a bike rack will work on coach but to put the slide out you have to remove the bikes. The rack I had was able to fold down so I did not need to remove the rack just fold down the bar that supported the bikes.

I've seen bike racks that install in the 2" trailer hitch mount that should be factory built in to your Axis/Vegas. Should be easy to find on Amazon, Craigslist or Ebay. Of course, it would have to be removed when you extend the rear slide but that's easy enough to do. Such a rack would also preclude you using the hitch for towing anything else. Good luck with your new unit. We just took delivery of our new Axis 25.5 this week.

I use a double hitch. Tow my car and have a platform to haul my Cricket electric vehicle.

May I ask where you bought and how much for cart nd hitch?
I bought the Cricket in Waynesville NC from a dealer. The cargo hauler came from Tractor Supply. Hitch came from Amazon. I actually replaced the hitch with this one. More space between my car dolly tongue and cargo hauler.
Be sure to get the Roadmaster. There's some cheap ones out there.

I saw that hitch on e trailer and in the video they said it was not made to tow a trailer. Don't understand why. I wanted to buy this so I could tow my dolly and my bike rack. Can you shed some light on this.

Congratulations my wife and I also have a 25.2 and we love it also we have bike rack and tow a dolly unfortunately we have to unload the bikes to put the slide out

Not sure. I towed my dolly with car and cargo hauler 2000 mile round trip with no problems.

I also have a 2016 Vegas 25.2. I'm in the market for a bike rack and haven't yet found a solution that will not require unloading the bikes. That will only be an issue on those one night stops while you're on the road and probably not going to want to take a ride.

But the other potential issue is forgetting to unload the bikes before you put out the slide. That would be a big no no.:hide:
