Front Speakers are Sony, the back I guess are OEM since there's no name plate

Sound is terrible. Had a IYing head unit installed before Christmas. Still sounds terrible

Left front and rear speakers aren't working. The head unit installer told me the rear wasn't working. I knew the front was out. It would work sporadically

I put in a bunch of Kilmat in the doghouse but I haven't had it on the road yet

Has anyone upgraded their speakers, if so, what make/model and did the sound quality improve??

Thanks

Some folks are going to tell you about $400 speakers.
I'm going to tell you of a rattley brick in the wind vehicle with an 85 decibel baseline.

lol. I know there is no way i will get home or car level audio out of the RV. In another post someone went with $179/pair Polk marine speakers.

I was also wondering about just using portable speakers connected via headphone style jack or bluetooth

We tried the big bluetooth party house speakers they sell at Walmart.
We couldn't get it to equalize.
$200, maybe a nice thing at a pool party but about all it did for us was add new incoherent noise to the mix.

I'm thinking maybe small speakers mounted to the seat
Or
Since yours is a 24.1
Flush mounted in the slide
Or
My overhead monitors are mounted to the bottom of the overhead bed.
More sound and less ambient interference noise.

Where exactly are your front speakers?

In our ACE the "front" speakers were in the ceiling behind the cab area. The left side speaker was blocked by the slide when retracted (as it would be when driving). I added some speakers to the dash. There is plenty of room for them. I rewired the radio connections so the dash speakers are the 'front' and the original speakers in the ceiling are the 'rear'. Much better sound when driving - which is when we use the radio.

That's our Honey waiting to go for a ride...
