We have the Splendide Aeiston stackable washer and dyer un our 2913 36FB. We bought them new from Camping World, Ocala in late 2013 or the early part of 2014, making te set almost six years old. Since we fulltime, they have been used on an average of five times a week. The other morning when the wife went to dry a load of clothes, dhe set the timer and then pushed the START bottom. Nothing happened when she did! The dryer is dead, like it has no power at all.
I've already checked the outlet and breaker, which are both in good working order. hus eliminating an issue on our side of the circuit being the issue. So I'm left suspecting that either the on/off switch has gone bad, and/or the control mechanism has gone bad. My question is; If it were you and based upon the age and usage of the dyer, would you have the old one repaired, and chance another breakdown in the near or not so distant future, or go ahead and buy a new dryer, (same brand/model) to replace it? The wife found the same unit on sale at Camping World from just under $600.00 qnd with our membership it knocked it down to just over $500. I can see taking the old one to the appliance repair shop and possibly end up spending a few hundred on it, not knowing when the next breakdown will come. If we were having to pay full price for the new dryer, which is about $300.00 more, this would not even be a consideration, and the old one would be in the shop being repaired!
