SRS Warning Light issues

I have a 2023 Thor Delano MB chassis, and my seat restraint passenger warning light has come on. Took to dealer and wiring is shaved some under passenger seat, they say the entire wiring harness needs replaced and will not look to address wiring per MB guidelines. They also said it would not be a warranty claim. I see there was a wiring recall for Delano models up to 2021, anybody having wiring issues post 2021 and has Thor or MB been helpful? Any comments would be appreciated...

Under what category are they claiming it is not a warranty item? Certainly not normal wear & tear?!?

Sigh. Many reports of poor dealer service. Is this something you can fix yourself? Re-route the wires so there is no rubbing to wear away the insulation and cover the worn areas with electrical tape?

On what warranty area they did not say, they told me that a rodent may have eaten the wiring cover, and I disagreed on the spot with them. I can wrap the wires but the warning light most likely will remain on. They also tested the SRS module and reported that it checked out OK. I am going to contact Thor direct to look for assistance and be sure that the dealer is not choosing to avoid notifying MB on this. Thanks for responding, any other comments out there please send my way...

Chasing a warranty 'free' is not the path unless you need a time consuming hobby.

Taking it to an independent shop and having them
cut the wire.
Reroute so it doesn't rub.
Splice the wire.

Is a path I'd choose.
But
I tend to erase problems instead of exacerbate.

$199 while you get lunch and they do the work.

Contact Thor.
You'll then know if my path is viable.
You'll have a plan b in place so there will be no reason to verbally beat up a customer service rep.

It's an rv.
Fix it.

I with duck on this one. Add up the time on the phone, fuel, aggravation and loss of use and that repair and others are paid for.

This may or may not apply to you but may be a useful reminder to people with the older MB chassis. My 2018 had the wiring under the driver's seat replaced under warranty. I recall that the whole wiring assembly had to be replaced as a splicing of the wires was not acceptable to MB. It was a common problem for the years prior to the current model and, I believe, I was alerted to that fact by this forum. I shared a reprint with the technician at the MB dealership. The defect caused the wiring to be damaged (pinched) when the seat swiveled (rotated) to the rear. I expected the problem to be replicated over time but it did not.
