Structural Components

Is there anything, anywhere that shows what all the structural components of an RV are? I realize that can be kind of vague, But I saw names of the internal framing of a residential wall named and wondered if there was something similar.

Do I understand correctly that you're after the "names", such as rafter, joist, stud, purlin, king-post, collar-tie, etc...?

I doubt if there's much standardization there. It's all just tube frame construction. I looked through the structural drawings for my Thor rig, and everything is just called tube, etc...

Yes, that is the type of info I was looking for. Thank you. Well, I guess if I call something a tube, I have decent chance of being right.

The Bill of Materials gives the name and dimensions for the procurement and manufacturing process.

After that, those "tubes" all pretty much become the same thing as their corresponding item in residential or commercial construction.

The structural diagrams are "special request" to Thor customer service. You have to be specific about what you want.

I wasn't aware of that but I haven't sought those specific drawings. Thanks for the clarification!
