Anyone know how to find out what size bushings are in the suspension? Short of tearing it apart and measuring it that is. Mine look pretty worn and I'd like to replace them before heading to Maine at the end of next month. Are there standard sizes for certain size axles?

Trailer is an '07 CF32BL

When I bought my lube kit from Dexter, it came with bronze bushings. When I went to have the kit installed, the bolts and brackets were all correct but the bushings didn't fit. Fortunately, the mechanic was able to get different ones that did fit. He said sometimes the springs are slightly "off" in tolerance and the eyelet is a bit small. The answer to your question is you may want to pull one to make sure of the measurements.

That's what I was afraid of. I'd hate to tear it all apart just to get measurements, then put it all back together and wait for parts. Working in a gravel driveway so don't really want to leave it sitting out there apart for a period of time.

Contact MorRyde & order their heavy duty shackles with wet bolts, 1/2" thick shackles, all new bolts & bronze bushings, plus excellent customer service. Best upgrade for your rv.

I agree. That's what I did when I installed the wet bolt kit.
You might want to crawl under it and get the weight info off the axles before you call.

Got that last night. They're 5200lb axles. I'm thinking everything is 1/2" bolts, just not sure of the outer diameter of the bushings. I've seen both .704" with Lipperts "Never Fail" bushings and .865" with the Nylon bushings.

Mine has the 5200# also. I don't know if you are thinking of doing the wet bolt kit at the same time?
I got mine (wet bolt kit) from Trailair service center.

Item # EQ-WB2
Equa-Flex wet bolt kit, tandem; 14 greasable bolts, 14 nuts, 8 brass bushings.

Do you have Equa-Flex suspension?

No, just the standard equalizer. I was looking at that last night too though.

If you look at the top right bolt in this pic you can see how worn the links and bushings are.

slight chance the eq's have brass already , but springs will have plastic and probably only shreads of plastic left. Put bushings in freezer for a while and use a vice to press them into the spring openings and eq's if needed. They slide in with pressure.
Make sure your holes in wet bolts are oriented in the 9 and 3 oclock position or you will need to lift the side of the camper to add grease.

Ok, looking more into the Equa-Flex equalizers. The equalizers I have now are taller than most of the ones I see online, but I can't find any dimensions on the Equa-Flex equalizers. Are they the same dimensions as the longer or shorter equalizers? Already pushing the trailer/truck height difference. Don't want to end up any shorter on the trailer.

This is what mine look like. I can't give you any comparison specs.
Maybe a call to the supplier would answer the question.

K. Parts are on order. Ended up going with the Equa-Flex and MORryde HD Shackle upgrade. Here's hoping everything fits.

Thanks for the help everyone.

I ordered mine from Lippert; they did the research for me:). Worked out great!

I've done some more research, after the fact, I know, but finally found some diagrams with the dimensions of both equalizers. Apparently the Equa-Flex is 1.5" shorter than the stock equalizer I have now. I'm hoping it won't make that much of a difference when all is said and done.
