Switching out Axxera AVM70

Big R , yes all the cameras work great. The install was a breeze - hopefully you have the radio removal tool, if not you can pick them up on Amazon for under $10. And, yes there is quiet a difference in the screen size. BTW, I picked this radio up via Walmart online ordering for $210. It was $280 in store, but in order to get the online price, I had to order it and pick it up a couple hours later, worth it to save $70.
Quick Question: What did you do with your old AVM70? Still have it? I'd be interested in buying it from you.
My screen is broken on mine, and we're looking to sell our RV at the end of the year, so looking for a quick and easy fix by just replacing it with the same AVM70.
Thank you.

I have a toggle switch on the dash just behind the shifter lever. I can rest my hand on the shifter. The switch is at my finger tips. I can use it with out taking my eyes off the road.
Switch up rear camera is constantly on and I can operate the side camera with the directional signals and when it cycles I am back to rear camera. (Many complained that that could not be done)
I can change the switch and I am at the main screen of the radio. I prefer this over having two or more monitor. The 10" screen gives me a much wider rear view than the previous unit. I have seen others use a separate monitor that is no larger than the old unit. I like my set up. It works for me perfectly. It may not be for everyone, but I am very satisficed. My dash area is not full obstructions. One screen that provides all that I need.
Your post is awhile back but how did you make this change to the DUAL XDCPA11BT to add the switch so it does not have to be in reverse to see.

He wired a 12 volt hot lead to the radio's trigger wire to trigger the camera input to be displayed.

Hey all, recently bought my 2018 Thor ACE 29.3 and have been working on upgrades. I appreciate all the advice on the forum and here on the DUAL XDCPA11BT as the install was mostly seamless, however, the RCA plug now goes to a 12 pin connector (picture 1) and along with the RCA plug has a ground and a 12v power wire (picture 2). My question is should I use the ground wire?

I would have to believe that going through the camera control switch (picture 3) everything is already grounded. Alternatively, did the rest of you tie in the ground. I was thinking could simply tie in to the black ground to chassis (picture 4). As it stands I did nothing with the ground or 12 v coming off that connector.

Since ground is ground is ground I think you can leave it dangling. If the BU camera doesn't function, then connect it.

If I understand your explanation I believe the 12 volt and ground lead are coming from the head unit and would be there to provide power to a backup camera. Your backup camera should already have power applied via the camera switching module so the 12 VDC and Ground leads from the head unit are redundant. Leave them unconnected.
