We used our own modem and router when we had Spectrum, since at the time they charged an additional fee for theirs. I still use that router through our T-Mobile home gateway for some of our legacy devices. For hotspot use in the RV we first tried both iPhones and the iPad with the Winegard with zero success, and with limited success with a Roku stick.
I have never figured out the advantage of Winegard? I know it must be something because a lot of people use it and WBGO has started including it on the newer version of my coach along with Sumo Springs. Somebody will have to tell me the problem that Winegard is trying to solve and maybe I will get?
Sirius radio is similar, I had it free for almost 6 months with my new Navigator. At the very end they were almost trying to give it away for $5/month. The problem though... I didn't like it. I played it every day because it was free, so I used it, but it is kind of a awkward feel changing and learning the stations. Last thing I needed was cable news in the car with me

I was not able to make my T Mobile Home Internet Box Gateway working with my existing router. I had to disable the DHCP Server on my router so it became a high price Switch. I didn't need to anyway. T Mobile may be the only one that that thinks I use my T Mobile Home Internet to replace my existing Home Internet Service. I was told that eventually they would allow you to disable the DHCP Server on the T Mobile Black box, but I have not bothered to check to see if a new firmware has been installed?
