T - Mobile / Starlink: It is here

$30 monthly... text only to start. T-Mobile supposedly will accept others without being forced to switch plans.

This rollout is essentially a replacement for the satellite "emergency" devices, intended to give text connectivity... but this is real time and two -way.
Where do you get $30 a month?

BETA is free to everyone with a compatible phone.
Live is free on premium T-Mobile plans.
Other T-Mobile plans are $15 a month unless you participated in the BETA, then $10 a month.
Customers on other carriers can keep their T-Mobile Starlink line active for $20/month.

Not worldwide coverage - only available where T-Mobile has a "coverage" plan.

Saw on another YouTube creater channel... Maybe RV Miles? The beta participants get a special deal.

That was great video. I am in the Beta program but my phone is not compatible. They wish for me to get a new phone, but I am not buying. I will get new phones soon anyway, but the new phones I get will likely a brand new refurbished unit that is 2 or 3 years old i.e. the Samsung S22 if I were to buy today.

Also, because of the video, I know what I need to know so beta is no longer a desire of mine. They start to charge in July and I sure will not change my plan. I still have my original 16 year old plan with T Mobile. They said it was going to go up monthly about 8 months ago but so far our bill is the exact same.

I am glad it is out and think it will help those in need, but I wonder what the conversation will be between the Satellite companies and the Cellular companies a year from now. I heard that at least one Satellite company is trying to get the FCC to allow them them the same air waves as the ground towers.

Anyway, my point is unless I buy some of that property on the other side that Damn Duck's range somewhere near that grand crack in the earth, Satellite as no additional value over my existing use of towers.
