I have a recently purchased 2016 Thor ACE 29.4. We have a dish tailgater and wally and I would like to know the easiest way to connect these to the coach TV. How do I do it???

If you do not currently have a Dish subscription you will probably find that a starlink subscription will serve you infinitely better.

The system you have isnt exactly archaic, but it is not the best choice by many years.

A Tailgater by itself is pretty useless. Do you have a receiver to go with it?
Are you asking how to get the cable from the antenna to the receiver inside the MH?
Are you asking how to get the tuned video signal from the receiver to one TV in the MH?
Are you asking how to integrate the satellite tuned signal into the distribution system in the MH?

Tell us more about what you have and what your experience is with it and we can provide better directed answers.

Typically Thor coaches are not wired for sat TV. There is usually as splitter in the coax (RG-6) that will not pass the DC current need to operate the Tailgater's electronics. You need to find the splitter and replace it with one that will pass DC current. I am a DirecTV guy so I use the products sold by Solid Signal (Green label splitter). To use the tailgater, you must turn off the terrestrial antenna power supply and connect the receiver to the existing coax cable. The HDMI cable connects the receiver to the TV's HDMI port.

As mentioned before you need an account with dish to start. Then the handle of the tailgater points north. For ease run a separate coax cable to the Wally and then HDMI cable to tv. Then call Dish to activate Wally if you don’t use it for 2 weeks you need to reactivate. No trees in the southern sky approximately 2 o’clock angle

Thank you to all who responded to my question. I have had the wally and tailgater for several years and have used them frequently when traveling - but that was when I owned a Holiday Rambler class A that was satellite wired with common sense. Anyway, yesterday I opened the cabinet housing all of the coax and I rewired the system. All is working now. I was just hoping that there was a simple 'press to select solution' like in the HR.
