Tear in Roof Membrane

Hi All,

Was inspecting the caulking on the roof this past weekend and noticed a small tear in the membrane (see pic). Sorry for the sideways photo, couldn't figure out how to rotate it. This was the day after some torrential rains but no signs of leaks inside.

My question is, what can I do to cover this tear before it becomes a bigger problem?

You could use the tape as suggested, or, that slit doesn't look very big, maybe you could get by with some Di-cor self leveling caulk.

I put a small tear in mine like that this weekend, when I placed my ladder against the trailer to climb up and fix my vent cover that was flapping on my way to Lake George New York. Luckily I had some of that self leveling caulk that was mentioned as a temporary fix until my tape comes from Amazon. I will take that and go over the area better. By the way in case anyone was wondering these roofs are not made for a 6 foot 4 inch 265 pound person.

The Dicor self leveling will drip down that edge and not look good (Trust me, I just know this...)
Use the Eterna-Bond.

As a followup, I covered it with Eternabond. I have some Dicor but am using that around the vents and where the front cap meets the roof. The Eternabond really sticks!
