If you get a Freightliner don't get one with the Mercedes engine...They are awful...We have many freightliner buses here at the distrivt and we have more problems with the ones with Mercedes than anything else and expensive repairs...I don't know what they use in the Medium Duty Freightliners

John - when calculating fuel costs, remember that BC prices are 25 to 30% above US prices.

I talked with a guy with a Bluebird/Wanderlodge that said he could go from New Orleans to Alaska on 3 tanks of fuel, I said "only 3" & he said "yea it holds 300 gals.", $1200, $75 at time on your card??

When you pay inside you can pump until you're full.

I'm still waiting for a firm price from the Frieghtliner dealer but it's estimated to be between 80-90K and then 25-30k for the modification. The diesel I'm looking at is a 345hp Cummins with 1150 FT pounds of torque. If I went for a larger engine I would have to get the 112 M2 which would add about $10,000 plus a 12% federal excise tax.

We're still putting things together.

RW rallies

Is there a web site with a calendar showing rally dates? May be fun and informative to attend one.

No calendar.

The next rally is scheduled for August 7-9 2015, it will most likely be held again in Shipshewana IN.

As was said earlier, the main rally is held in Northern Indiana in August. However if you watch this forum you might see smaller gatherings before then. For the past couple of years, some of the members have planned these in the warmer states during the winter and spring.
