Thanks to all for the help and info over the past year. We finally made the decission to trade our RW ,and ordered our new coach that will be here in October. Just tired of dealing with all the issues that keep haunting the RW's and going to a better unit before we have the major problems show up that have happened to others on here, and before the dealers get smart and discount the trade value of the RW. We have owned 7 rigs over the past 17 years ( some used some new ) and have never had or seen the issues that seem to follow the RW's- We did research before buying ours and thought they were a top line rig , but have since found they are an over priced mid pack unit. On the plus side our dealer has taken care of every problem without delay or question. We wish good luck and safe travels to all.

Sorry to hear that you have had so many problems. I understand you leaving the brand. Back in the late eighty I had a similar issues with a car and finally got it replaced under the lemon law and six months later same issues occur on the replacement. I traded it in and have not bought that make since then.

Good luck with your new purchase.

We will still be on the look out for all of you , as we have met some really nice Redwooders and have enjoyed our visits. As in the past any of you traveling to the Black Hills of South Dakota are more than welcome to give us a shout.

Tom & Jane,

So sorry for your RW issues, there just seem to be a few of these that seem to have chronic problems, unfortunately you are not the first to have these. Regardless, I wish you both the very best with your new RV and hope it works out better for you.
Just out of curiosity, what are you replacing the Redwood with?

Chuck, we have on order a 2015 Excel Winslow 34 IKE with a fair amount of customizing to our specifications.

The Winslow is a good coach. I believe that's the one I had told Tom about last year at the rally. The Winslow has the hydraulics and the batteries in an easy to get to place. They also had a video on line last year showing a "Rino Liner" roof system.

Nu Wa is also producing new fifth wheels but they are being built by Excel with a few added requirements from Nu Wa. The Nu Wa website is showing 3 of the new ones in stock right now and they do look like an Excel. I'm sure they are a good RV but I couldn't justify the higher price.:)
