This forum doesn't seem to get any traffic like we got on the Crossroads forum. The only movement is the Crossroads section and thats not much.

This forum is brand new and it takes time to grow. Since the board isn't affiliated with any manufacturer we have some latitude in posting and owners can meet and discuss issues in a neutral and supportive venue. We hope that you'll stick around and be part of that growth and bring your friends. :)

This forum is only a few months old and it can takes years, decades even for a forum community to establish itself. I founded Airstream Forums over a decade ago and it takes a lot of work to get a forum going.

I also manage Forest River Forums - Forest River Owners Community and that community was fairly slow just a few years ago and now has grown to having thousands of members per day visit the site. That's okay, we are here for the long run and hopefully this little community will blossom into something special with time.

The RV companies are manufacturers, not professional forum managers. If I tried to build RVs, I'd might go out of business with time because I didn't have decades of RV building experience. Same thing for the forums that most of the RV companies run. When discussions get heated, they don't always know how to handle it, it's not their expertise. There is also the conflict of interest associated with trying to manage negative discussions that could influence potential buyers while at the same time trying to allow an open community to chat.

We have been successful because we are a 3rd party and thus don't have any conflict of interest. We often keep lines of communications open with the manufacture and have developed tools to escalate issues to them for quick response since they often don't have time to hang out on the forums all day.

The reason we have this forum is because we feel having more people (different brands) together can help members since we all have the same heaters, refrigerators and other other common parts inside our rigs. The more minds working together the better for finding solutions!

Email your friends and tell them about Thor Forums. Post links from other sites and forums and help us spread the word so we can make this a fun place to hang out and talk!

Crossroads RV

After I get my camper back from the body shop and if it dosn't break on the way home I will be a little happier. Thanks Tom

Andy R. - We can't tell people about the forum because the forum we would tell the people on is down and has been for at least 8 or 9 days. With your experience can you shed any light on how a supposed hardware upgrade can keep a forum down for that long? Thanks

It's down because they want it down. My guess is it's not coming back. They are not happy that the members called them on their b.s., pointed out their violations of federal law and are encouraging a boycott of their products.
